Although the stools seem very sturdy (which was one reason we purchased them) the QC was the worst I have ever seen. So many issues it's hard to decide where to start. The hardware for each stool comes in a large multi section bag with compartments for each type of piece. Every single one of the bags were mis-marked. And not all mis-marked the same. That created confusion. Two of the stools were missing metal sleeves to screw the bolts into on the seat bottom so I had to buy different bolts with nuts and washers. And in a bad place to try to fix. The holes in the seat backs of three of the stools did not even closely line up so had to buy wood screws to secure the seat backs to the seat base. The seat base and back alignment was so poor that I had to use wood clamps to get them together tight enough to get the bolts to go in to the receptacles. The bolts on the foot rests of two of the stools did not line up. All in all it took 6 hours to put these together including two trips to the hardware store. Do yourself a favor.....buy already assembled chairs from a furniture store.It was NOT easy, my husband and Dad had to make holes to the wood and custom the assemble on all 3 Barstools. Color its very light, I tough its was a bit darker, they are very heavy. And the screws not all when full in.. would not buy this again.Out of six holes that hold the chair back to the seat one lines up . So much for their quilts contr .
