It seems like most chair legs have 1 1/2" leg bottoms so it was hard to find 1 1/4" caps. When I saw these I thought I better order them before they quit making them. I'm glad I did.You have to make sure the INSIDE dimension of your chair legs is 1 1/4". If it's less than that, you'll never get these in. If the dimension is more than that, the caps will be loose and won't stay in. But if your chair leg ends have the 1 1/4", these fit perfect. Now I did have to make sure to clean any rust or dirt out of the interior before trying to put these in. Any extra bits of debris left over from your old caps will keep these from going in. You'll wind up breaking them if you try to insert them into an interior that is not clean.Once I had that done, I made sure the caps were lined up and then I gave them a medium whack with a rubber mallet. I should note that I painted all 4 of my patio chairs before putting these in, so the legs aren't as rusty as the pictures might indicate.If they slide around on our concrete patio for a year, I'll be happy. Since this was a 32-pack and I only needed 16 for 4 chairs, I'll have another set to replace these. When those are gone, I'll order more assuming the manufacturer keeps making these in the 1 1/4" size. As you can see from the picture, these look good when installed. Highly recommended. Just make sure your interior is 1 1/4" inch across.
